BREATHWORK with Daniela
Your breath knows the way back to you.
You function. But inside, you’re tired.
Your mind is constantly running. Your nervous system never really settles. You can feel your body actually needs a break. But switching off doesn’t come so easily anymore.
You feel exhausted, overstimulated, or internally far away from yourself. You long to breathe freely again. Truly free.
This is exactly where breathwork comes in.
What Breathwork Does to You
Your breath directly influences your nervous system, your energy state, and your emotional experience. Through conscious breathwork, you give your body a sense of safety again. Your system learns to step out of chronic stress.
This happens through the body. Rhythmic breathing, intentionally used breath holds, and specially composed music speak to layers within you that the mind can’t reach on its own.
Many people report inner calm, deep relaxation, emotional relief, more energy, and the feeling of coming home to themselves after a session. Some call it a natural high. I prefer to call it being connected with yourself again.
SOMA Breath®
SOMA Breath® combines rhythmic breathing, targeted breath holds, and specially composed music with meditation and inner awareness. It’s based on ancient pranayama techniques, combined with modern knowledge of the nervous system and breathing physiology.
What kept me with SOMA Breath: the combination of breath rhythm, music, and meditation. It works on all levels at once. And it can be tailored individually.
How I work
Every session is individual. I tune in to what you and your system need right now. Alongside SOMA Breath®, other breathing techniques and intuitive impulses may flow in, depending on the situation.
Everyone breathes differently. Every nervous system needs something different.
That’s why every session is tailored to your current life situation, your energy level, and what truly supports you.
Gentle. Safe. And at your own pace.
Atemarbeit als Praxis, nicht als Einmalaktion
A single breath journey can be powerful. You can already feel in one session how strongly your body responds to conscious breathing.
Deeper change comes through consistency. Step by step, your system learns to process stress differently. You become more resilient, calmer, clearer, more present. Just as physical training doesn’t happen after one workout, breathwork is most effective through continuous practice.
As a new way to stay connected with yourself.
This isn’t about forcing anything.
It’s about giving your body space again and being present.

Background: The Effects of Breathwork
Breath influences far more than oxygen supply. Conscious breathing works directly on the autonomic nervous system: through rhythmic breathing and targeted breath holds, your system can shift from stress mode into a state of calm and regeneration. Cortisol drops, heart rhythm stabilizes, and neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine are released.
SOMA Breath® combines these physiological processes with ancient pranayama techniques. The Cambridge study conducted in collaboration with SOMA Breath® shows measurable effects on stress reduction and psychological well-being.
Breathwork can support you in:
- finding inner peace and emotional relief,
- reducing stress and tension,
- thinking and feeling more clearly again,
- perceiving your energy more consciously,
- feeling your body more again,
- strengthening creativity and inner alignment,
- promoting better sleep and deeper regeneration,
- and becoming more resilient in everyday life, step by step.
The “Scientific” Explanation of Breathwork’s Effects
“Breathwork, a practice with deep roots in ancient traditions, is increasingly coming into focus in the modern wellness world – primarily due to its impressive effects on mental and physical health. At its core, breathwork means consciously controlling your breath to influence your physical and psychological state. The result: more well-being, more balance, and less stress.
The scientific basis of breathwork primarily lies in its ability to regulate your autonomic nervous system – the system that controls automatic bodily functions such as heart rate or digestion. Through targeted breathing, you can switch from the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) – the fight-or-flight mode – to the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which is responsible for rest, regeneration, and “rest and digest”.
This switch is essential for stress reduction: It lowers your cortisol levels, stabilizes your blood pressure, and brings you into a state of calm and inner release.
Breathwork also affects your brain chemistry. Controlled breathing boosts oxygen flow to the brain, enhancing your cognitive performance and emotional stability. Furthermore, endorphins are released – your natural mood boosters and “painkillers.” This way, breathwork helps elevate your mood and reduce feelings of anxiety. Additionally, deep diaphragmatic breathing enhances lung function and your body’s oxygen supply.
Research in psychophysiology also confirms the effects of breathwork on mental health. Techniques like Pranayama, a central component in yoga, show significant effects on anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Through the interplay of mindfulness, presence, and a higher state of consciousness, breathwork can help you process emotions better and become more resilient.” (Source: SOMA Breath®. Shared as a licensed SOMA Breath® Advanced Instructor)
